Has anyone ever said to you, "You're already pretty, why do you wear makeup?" I have heard this time and time again, and I'm sure other women who wear makeup have also. I've noticed that some mistake a woman's use of makeup as an act of insecurity, saying that she "hides behind makeup" to cover up flaws. I have even had people insinuate that I am unhappy with what God gave me. Contrary to this common misconception, this is not the reason for women's use of Makeup. From blush to lipstick, makeup is used to enhance the beautiful features women already have, not cover any of them up. Wearing makeup is not a sign of low-self esteem or insecurity. It is actually exactly the opposite. We are aware of our facial structure and we use makeup to MAGNIFY our best features. There is only one product used to "cover up". That product is concealer. It is often used to "conceal" blemishes. Blemishes are stains (scars, discoloration, etc.) that "flaw the perfection of" the face. Now, what God gives us (our natural faces) before blemishes is perfect. Blemishes flaw this perfection. Concealer helps with enhancing the perfection. Makeup is not "The Enemy"! It is your friend, "The Enhancer"! While makeup is our friend, so is skin care! Make sure you are using cosmetic products that are good for your skin, removing your makeup before bed, and treating blemishes before and after makeup use with skin care products! Take care of your skin and wear your makeup proudly, ladies! Happy Friday!

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
